charismatic

Charisma is not the same as being liked. Watch the drawing: a man walks past, and a waiter leaves his table, a barber leaves his customer, the customer leaves the chair — still wearing the cape — and even the dog goes. Nobody decided to follow. They were all doing something else a second ago. That is the test of the word. A charismatic person changes what a room is doing just by crossing it, and the people who move can rarely tell you why. The Greek root, kharisma, meant a gift you were given rather than one you earned — which is exactly how it looks from outside.

Charismatic no es simplemente caer bien. En el dibujo, un hombre pasa y todos lo siguen: el camarero deja la bandeja, el barbero deja al cliente, y el cliente sale con la capa puesta. Nadie decidió seguirlo. Cambia lo que hace una sala con solo cruzarla.

Charismatic não é só ser simpático. No desenho, um homem passa e todos vão atrás: o garçom larga a bandeja, o barbeiro larga o cliente, e o cliente sai ainda de capa. Ninguém decidiu segui-lo. Ele muda a sala só de atravessá-la.

Charismatic ne veut pas dire sympathique. Sur le dessin, un homme passe et tout le monde suit : le serveur lâche son plateau, le coiffeur son client, et le client sort avec la cape. Personne n'a choisi de suivre. Il change une pièce rien qu'en la traversant.

Charismatic bukan sekadar disukai. Di gambar, seorang pria lewat dan semua ikut: pelayan meninggalkan nampan, tukang cukur meninggalkan pelanggan, pelanggannya keluar masih berjubah. Tak ada yang memutuskan ikut. Ia mengubah isi ruangan hanya dengan melintasinya.

Charismatic, sadece sevilmek değildir. Resimde bir adam geçiyor ve herkes peşine takılıyor: garson tepsisini, berber müşterisini bırakıyor; müşteri önlüğüyle çıkıyor. Kimse takip etmeye karar vermedi. O, bir odayı yalnızca içinden geçerek değiştiriyor.

charismatic は「感じがいい」とは違います。絵の中で男が通り過ぎると、ウェイターは盆を置き、床屋は客を置き、その客はケープのまま出てきます。誰も従おうと決めたわけではありません。部屋を横切るだけで、その場の空気を変えてしまう人です。
