Still on the small detail, long after everyone else left it.
what it means
A stickler cares about the small thing after everybody else has stopped. The word is old — from an English verb meaning to set in order, and once the name for an umpire who settled disputes — and the umpire is still in there. In the drawing a man is handed a birthday card. He reads it, takes out a red pen, marks it, and stamps it B+. The cake waits. The balloon does not survive. Everyone else is at a party; he is marking. And notice that the stickler is often right, which is what gives the word its sting: a stickler for detail is a compliment and a complaint in the same breath, and which one it is depends on the day.
Seorang stickler tetap mempersoalkan hal kecil setelah orang lain melepaskannya.
