In my role as the Assistant Director of Operations at Kingsley College, I identified a need for a more integrated and user-friendly Learning Management System (LMS) to facilitate remote learning during the pandemic. It was clear that the existing system was not adequately meeting the needs of students and faculty, impacting the quality of online education.
I led a solution-focused team which reviewed various available LMS platforms and considered both the faculty and student feedback. After rigorous research and stakeholder consultation, we opted for the Canvas learning platform because of its superior user experience and integration capabilities.
Post-implementation, we saw a 40% increase in active usage by both students and faculty. Furthermore, the inclusive virtual learning environment we could provide was significant, as it reduced the stress linked to online learning and helped maintain academic performance during remote education.
