Hook explaining the 5 rings of the Olympics.
Explanation of continent definitions and counts.
When we look at Earth, land covers a little over one-fourth of the globe. A large body of land is called a landmass, and a large continuous expanse of land is known as a continent.
Matrix showing 4, 5, 6, and 7 continent models.
Grid visual showing continent sizes.

Asia covers the largest land area on Earth, while Australia is the smallest continent.
MCQ on continent sizes.
An urban planner is analyzing global land distribution for an environmental study. Based on relative land area, which sequence correctly orders these four continents from largest to smallest?
Definition of islands and major examples.
While continents cover massive areas of the globe, they do not include all the land on Earth. Smaller pieces of land that are completely surrounded by water on all sides are called islands.
Note: Continents are technically surrounded by water too, but because they are so enormously large, they are categorized differently from islands.
Details on India's Antarctic expeditions.
Located at the bottom of the globe, Antarctica is a vast continent defined by its extremely cold climate and harsh, unforgiving environment. It is almost entirely covered by a massive expanse of white ice.
