A Task 2 paragraph with eight slots. Half want the field, half want the description.
Rural areas face a particular set of problems. (agriculture / agricultural) land is being sold for housing, and the (industry / industrial) that once employed most of the village closed twenty years ago.
The result is that the local (economy / economic) now depends almost entirely on tourism. That brings money in during the summer, but it also means young people leave, because there is no (finance / financial) reason to stay.
Several (politics / political) parties have promised investment, and there has been some (science / scientific) work on how to make small farms profitable again. Neither has changed much on the ground.
What the area does have is its (nature / natural) setting and a number of (history / historical) buildings, and those may prove more valuable in the long run than anything that has been promised.
