At my current job as a UI/UX designer at WebKraft, I have conducted numerous User Research studies to ensure our designs meet the needs of our users. A significant project was redesigning the interface for an e-commerce client. The client had received feedback indicating that users found the site's navigation complex.
I took the lead in conducting user interviews, set up usability testing sessions, developed persona profiles, and conducted A/B testing to gather data about user needs and preferences. This research helped us understand that users preferred a simplified, step-by-step checkout process along with a more intuitive product categorization.
Based on these insights, we designed a more streamlined UI that reduced the complexity in navigation. Post-implementation, the client reported a significant decrease in cart abandonment and an increase in completed purchases, indicating that our user-centered design approach was a success.
