I worked as a Research Associate at the Department of Education in Harmony Education Institute. There, I leveraged both qualitative and quantitative research methods. I spearheaded a project aimed at understanding the impact of technology integration in classrooms on student performances and teacher experiences. Survey designs, focus groups, and statistical analysis tools like Excel and SPSS were fundamental in this research.
We distributed surveys across several schools, garnering a mix of both urban and rural responses. Findings indicated that while technology improved student engagement levels in urban schools, it didn't markedly impact academic performance. In contrast, in rural areas where the integration wasn't as versatile, both engagement and performance levels remained relatively low. This had significant implications for our client's tech programs' direction and funding allocations.
