In my role as an Assistant Principal, I have worked extensively in shaping effective strategies for our school's administration and management. One of our significant achievements was implementing a Teacher Mentorship Program to address high teacher turnover rates our administration was facing.
Recognizing the need to support new or struggling teachers, I spearheaded the development of this mentorship program. In collaboration with veteran staff members, we matched newer teachers with experienced mentors on a one-to-one basis. New teachers benefited from the mentors' experience, guidance, and support, improving their competence and classroom delivery. The mentorship program proved tremendously successful – within two years, our teacher turnover rate decreased by 30%, and teacher satisfaction scores improved significantly.
