Within my current role as an HR Associate at TechBridge Innovators, I've actively participated in various stages of HR policy development. Of particular note was my role in developing the company's remote work policy amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Given the pressing need for a comprehensive remote work policy, we needed to define clear guidelines to maintain productivity, connectivity, and work-life balance amongst employees. Our team conducted robust research on benchmark practices, surveyed employee needs and concerns, and incorporated legal HR requirements. I was primarily responsible for assessing the appropriateness of different policy options against a range of criteria, such as feasibility, acceptability, and potential impact.
Following its implementation, the remote work policy received positive feedback from our employees. There was a significant improvement in their performance and a drop in the attrition rate. This experience taught me how HR policies directly impact employee satisfaction and productivity, illustrating the power of thoughtful policy development and implementation.
