The pendulum is said to have completed one oscillation when its bob starts from its mean position (O), swings out to one extreme position (A), reverses to the other extreme position (B), and finally returns back to O.
Alternatively, it also counts as one oscillation if the bob travels from extreme A to extreme B and straight back to A.
