Take a Pause
Think About It:
Look at yourself and the things around you. Your clothes, your phone, your books, the walls of your room, the food you ate today.
What is the origin of each of them?
Trace back their journey:
- Your cotton shirt → Cotton plant → Soil, water, sunlight
- Your phone → Metals, glass, plastic → Mines, sand, petroleum
- Your wooden pencil → Tree → Forest
- Your lunch → Crops/animals → Soil, water, sunlight
At some point, they all lead back to Nature.
Even that tiny plastic button on your shirt - it came from petroleum, which formed from ancient organisms millions of years ago.
Every single thing you own or use has Nature at its origin.
This is why understanding and protecting natural resources is not just an environmental issue - it's about understanding the foundation of everything in our lives.
