Unlike line graphs, pie charts do not usually show how things change over a long period. Instead, they show proportions—how a whole (100%) is divided into different parts at one specific time.
When looking at a pie chart, do not look for "increases" or "decreases" unless you are comparing two different pie charts from different years.
