I started as an illustrator at a small advertising agency, predominantly creating graphics for social media campaigns using traditional methods. My techniques began to evolve when I was assigned to illustrate an entire children’s book. This project required a different approach, needing both creative and technical skills.
I collaborated closely with seasoned illustrators and the author, learning to incorporate narrative elements directly into my illustrations through character expressions and backdrop details. The exposure to digital illustration tools like Procreate and Photoshop was transformative, enabling faster, more complex work. This process enhanced both my interaction with narratives and my visualization capacity, making my illustrations more dynamic and engaging.
