As an e-Learning Developer at Edutech Solutions, I was involved in the design and development of several distance learning programs. In one project, we created an online advanced mathematics course for high school students. We meticulously sculpted the program to align with the needs of our targeted demographic, which was gleaned from extensive surveys and user research.
Our team leveraged Canvas LMS for the course roll-out and used different authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate for creating interactive learning modules. The most challenging part was ensuring that each element of the course expected learning outcomes, promoted engagement, and met accessibility standards.
Upon implementation, we received positive feedback from students and teachers, with an overall increase in the completion rate by 18%. This project was an excellent testament to the effectiveness of distance learning programs when designed with learner-centric tactics in mind.
