As an Instructional Designer at LearnTech, I've had the opportunity to use instructional design methodologies to support a wide variety of learning needs. One significant project involved developing a training program for a retail client looking to improve their employees' customer service skills.
Using the SAM (Successive Approximation Model) methodology, an iterative process of design, develop, and evaluate, we built a blended curriculum that consisted of e-learning modules, role-playing scenarios, and post-learning assessments. Tools like Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate played an essential role in creating interactive and engaging e-learning content.
These strategies resulted in a comprehensive and engaging learning curriculum, resulting in a 30% improvement in the employees' customer service scores. It was an excellent affirmation of the power of effective instructional design in translating business needs into learning outcomes.
