As a Blockchain Developer at CryptoLogic Corp, I've spent the past two years working on a variety of blockchain projects. A standout project was creating a traceability solution for the supply chain of a large food distributor.
The goal was to increase transparency and minimize errors or fraud. We implemented a blockchain built on Hyperledger Fabric, with each movement of goods recorded as a transaction, traceable and verifiable on the chain.
Getting all the stakeholders to adapt to the technology was a challenge, but detailed walkthroughs and demonstrations helped them adapt. Our smart contracts were written in GoLang and we used CouchDB for ledger data persistency.
Upon launch, our solution drastically improved the transparency in the supply chain, reducing error rates by over 20%. The successful deployment of this project led to a contract extension with the client to incorporate AI and IoT applications on top of our blockchain solution.
