Wanderlust is a strong wish to travel and see new places: a pull toward anywhere else, not a plan for one trip. It comes from German: wandern, to hike, and Lust, desire. You can have wanderlust sitting at your desk on a Tuesday. In the animation, a man stands still, but his shadow already has a backpack and a hat and is walking off without him.
