serendipity
Serendipity is finding something good while you were looking for something else. It needs a search, and the search has to be for something different — plain luck is not enough. The word was made up in 1754, from a story about three princes of Serendip who kept finding things they were not looking for. In the animation, a grumpy gardener digs a hole, and his spade hits something glowing.
