sanguine

Sanguine means cheerful about how a thing will turn out — not general happiness; you are sanguine about something. Sanguis is Latin for blood: in the old medicine, the person ruled by blood was the warm, hopeful one. Sanguine is optimistic while the water rises. In the animation, the office is under water, the man's hat has floated off, and he drinks his coffee with his feet up.
