indolence
Indolence comes from Latin in- (not) and dolere (to feel pain): literally, the state where nothing stings enough to make you move. It is not tiredness; a tired person cannot get up, but an indolent person easily could and sees no reason to bother. In the animation, a man reclines while his shadow does the painting, unbothered as weeds grow and letters pile up.
