hullabaloo

Hullabaloo is a racket. The word is built out of noise, a rhyming echo like helter-skelter, and it sounds like a room where too much is happening at once. It is noise measured against somebody trying to think. It sits close to brouhaha: a brouhaha is a fuss about something; a hullabaloo is the noise itself. In the animation, a man tries to read while a trumpet blares in his ear.
