flit

To flit is to move in short, light hops and never settle. A bird flits between branches; your eyes flit across a room looking for one face; a thought flits through your head and is gone. Two things are built in: the movement is quick and light, and it doesn't finish anything. Say flit and you have said light, quick and gone again. In the animation, a girl leaps across a meadow, touching one dandelion and already on her way to the next.
