cacophony

Greek built cacophony from kakos, bad, and phone, sound. It is not one bad sound but many sounds at once that don't agree: horns, a drill, three conversations and a television, all at full volume. You hear a cacophony; you don't listen to it. It stretches easily: a cacophony of colours, of opinions. Its opposite is symphony. In the animation, every noise in the city goes into one blender.
