axiomatic

Something axiomatic is so self-evidently true that demanding proof feels absurd. From Greek axīōma, an established principle taken as granted. In logic and daily life, once an axiom is laid down, every other truth rests upon it. In the animation, an ancient foundation stone sits unshakable in the earth, anchoring the whole building above it.
