As an Associate Fitness Coach at ActiveLife Fitness Centre, I have been part of the team designing and implementing our wellness programs. One significant challenge I faced was while designing a customized fitness program for a group of seniors with a range of health conditions. The goal was to improve their overall fitness while keeping in mind individual limitations and medical history.
To handle this challenge, I utilized fitness software like TrainHeroic and WellnessLiving to help design the program, establish realistic goals and track progress. We combined light resistance training, flexibility exercises, and balance activities with guidance on nutrition. After six months on the program, all participants reported improvements in strength and flexibility, lower blood pressure, and an overall positive impact on their daily lives.
