One noteworthy project involved a client who ran a significant eCommerce business, and their needs fluctuated drastically based on seasonal demands. To cater to this, my team and I designed a VM environment that utilized Azure's Autoscale and VM Scale Sets. Using these features, we were able to automatically adjust the VM count and size during high traffic periods, like the holiday sales, helping maintain site performance while simultaneously keeping costs in check.
After fully implementing this strategy, the client's eCommerce platform experienced improved performance during peak times, and we observed a cost saving of nearly 30% during low-usage periods, marking a significant improvement in both performance stability and financial efficiency.
